Ireland: ‘Dads aren’t recognised in our Constitution and the Citizen’s Assembly denied them a voice’

Article in todays Journal (Ireland) from Matt O’connor (father 4 Justice).

Insightful article from Matt, with details on why this fathers day is not a fathers day for quite a few fathers in Ireland.

Also interesting is the position of the catholic church.

The Church has consistently refused to support the rights of separated fathers to see their children and while Pope Francis has eulogised about the role of mothers, he has repeatedly made discriminatory comments about dads.

In his 2016 papal pronouncement Amoris Laetitia (The Joy of Love), Pope Francis went as far to describe fathers as “absent, missing…too controlling…they neglect families…fail to offer sure and solid guidance to their children.”

In fact, not a single priest has raised his voice to express concern for the plight of fatherless children and their dads.

Tory MP calls for strict enforcement of child arrangement orders

Excellent news here in the UK parliament. A couple of weeks ago PA was debated, now we have a private member’s bill being put forward by an engaged tory MP  (and supported by several of her party) to change the law regarding enforcement of child arrangement orders.

Hopefully, it will get to the next stage. If not it is still raising awareness of the issue of PA and parents blocking access of the non-resident parent to the children.

Fathers4Justice Statement: Children on Fathers4Justice demonstrations referred to government anti-terror programme

As if fathers are not demonised enough!  If their children march with them on a fathers rally they are now being reported to the UK governments anti-terror programme.

Fighting for father rights IS NOT A POTENTIAL TERROR ACT!

Hopefully Fathers4Justice will get some concrete information on this highly secretive organisation.
